IPSi RF Tool Tracking

A local company was looking for a way to speed up its tool receiving and shipping process, which was being done manually. IPSi provided a solution utilizing Hand Held Products Radio Frequency scanners. The maufacturer barcode was automatically scanned into their database and a Verizon bar code was printed and labeled for reshipping.

A second Radio Frequency application was implemented to receive tools that needed to be repaired. The incoming tool tag was scanned and automatically entered into the database. When the tool is repaired and ready to be shipped back to the technician, it is scanned again. The application also produces batch reports of tools shipped, sorted by vendor.

Hand Held Products RF application uses Visual Basic as its development platform. Scanning, instead of manual entry, speeds up the process significantly and keeps accurate records of receiving and shipping information.
